Still have zoo pals left?
Find all the ones that belong at the farm and use 'em!
Activities for "Click Clack Moo"
Each child pretends to be an animal and write a letter to the farmer requesting what they feel is a much
needed object. Instruct them to ask for items different from the book.
Artic Kids: Must use their sound in the letter
Language Kids: Must use age appropriate complete sentences

Fun Activities for "Mrs. Wishy Washy"
Gather a small tub, a duck, pig, and cow. Read the book and talk about how the animals entered the
mud. Afterwards, act out the story with the props giving each child an animal.
Another wrap-up activity: Cut a large mud puddle out of brown butcher paper. Have the kids pretend
to be an animal from the story and enter the mud just the way the animal did. Make sure you allow them in one at a time!
Great time to talk about "in" and "out" as opposites or basic concepts

The Animals are Loose!
Similar to the zoo animals except tell the kids that the farm animals got out of their pens. Kids
need to gather all the animals (each taking a turn) and tell where each was located (working on spatial concepts).
